Venezia to Cortina d'Ampezzo [and return]
In 2014 I did the return trip by bus from Piazzale Roma in Venezia and the travel time was between two and three hours, including a stopover along the way for refreshments. The prices in December 2015 were listed as €27 each way on website: http://www.cortinaexpress.it/index.php/linee-autobus-cortina/?lang=en It was a really interesting trip, with time to take the funivia to the top of Faloria, wander around for a couple of hours, have lunch up there [the local ravioli specialty] and still have time for coffee back down in 'the village' before taking the bus back to Venezia. I have tried to fathom the timetable today [perhaps it's an off-day for me] and rather than give incorrect information I recommend some detailed searching on your part. It is a long return journey to do in one day, and the travel cost a little high, but the scenery is spectacular and worth it, if you have the time. |
